It’s important that you know something about the franchise consulting and brokering industry in order to understand how American Franchise Consultants (The AFC Group) has separated and elevated themselves from others in the industry. This industry is unregulated and highly fragmented. That means the quality of the services being offered by consultants and brokers to clients hoping to buy a franchise can be a hit or miss, varying widely. There are many very fine companies and consultants/brokers out there, but some are not.
What American Franchise Consultants has done is create a new “Gold Standard” in the franchise consulting and brokering industry based on professionalism, education, and ethics. Our clients can be assured that as we work with them, providing personal consultations supported with personalized research assistance, we focus exclusively on their best interests.

There is another factor that separates and elevates American Franchise Consultation from other companies. The AFC Group’s Founder & CEO, Gary Miller, is the only person in the franchise consulting and brokering industry who has taken three companies from initial business concept, through start-up and growth, franchising them, then later selling his equity in each. As a previous franchisor, he brings an unequaled depth of knowledge and understanding of the franchise industry to American Franchise Consultants. He is personally involved with every AFC client at some point during the consulting process.
American Franchise Consultants is an active Member of the Franchise Brokers Association. Entrepreneur Magazine, in its April 2017 issue said, “Franchise experts say there are many other ways a prospective franchisee can find a good broker… The simplest route is to find one who is certified by the Franchise Brokers Association.”
Every American Franchise Consultant’s Associate Consultant has successfully completed the Franchise Training Institute’s comprehensive training program. Also, every AFC Associate has either received the coveted Franchise Broker Certification (FBC) designation or is actively working on completing the extensive education process required to receive certification.
